Hi backers,
Because of the impact of the Covid-19, our customer service is significantly insufficient with the inquiries rushing in, which brings bad experience to many of you. Please do accept our apology for the situation and therefore we are now providing the following feedback to everyone responding to the most concerned questions.
The challenges we faced caused by the impact of the Covid-19:
- The production of the factory has been severely affected and the production capacity is still lower than the same period last year.
- The international logistics have given priority to medical related products leaving very limited space for other items.
- The import and export parcels are inspected more frequently and stricter than usual to avoid the spread and transmission of virus.
The actions we took:
Our team has set up three special groups to coordinate the issues:
- Supply chain: to coordinate production and provide assistance (including strict quality control).
- International logistics: the special group has been working on the sourcing and establishing collaboration with the local logistics in each country, therefore a lot of paper work is required. Everything goes smooth apart from a great amount of documentation is needed.
- Customer service: the inquiries have surged that it was way beyond our capacity so that your message may be omitted. Please accept our sincere apologies. With the special group, our customer service capacity has been promoted and your message would be replied soon. If not, kindly contact us again.
The shipping status is as following (as of Jun. 15th):
NIID cannot survive without all of you and your support, your valuable feedbacks. As a start-up company, we have no experience in dealing with such public health events that we may disappoint you because of our lagging responsive mechanism to the emergency. Lessons learned, we will largely promote our comprehensive service for NIID users in the coming future.

It’s time for a weekly shipping update.
Last week we've shipped 928 rewards to the US via ocean freight, which will be redistributed by FedEx SmartPost once the container arrives in LA. At that time of arriving in LA, you are available to track the shipping status by your tracking number that could be found on Backerkit.
By far 54% of rewards are on the way or delivered. Here’s the breakdown of our shipping progress:
- In our first batch, we've shipped 1755 parcels to the US, Canada, and France via airfreight, 537 parcels to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China mainland, 261 parcels to Singapore and Thailand.
- In the second batch, we've successfully fulfilled the majority of rewards for following countries this month:
Hong Kong (480 rewards)
Singapore (659 rewards)
Thailand (511 rewards)
Indonesia (162 rewards)
Malaysia (293 rewards)
the US (928 rewards)
As we mentioned before a large percentage of mainstream freight forwarding airlines that we used before were either cutoff or became extremely expensive due to COVID-19. Thus we still have to spend time exploring and evaluating other viable shipping options which includes but not limited to ocean freight and local postal service. At present, our team has initiated contact with local couriers and postal services in over 30 countries.
We expect to start shipping to Korea, Japan, and Europe (Germany/Britain/Italy/France) next week as we already established a distribution network in these countries. Remain pledges will be fulfilled within June. Thank you for your support and your patience.

Fulfillment continues! We would like to share that a part of the second shipment has been shipped out, with the rest to go out soon. If you live in Indonesia, Thailand, or Singapore, your Radiant is either in your hands or on its way. For these backers, you are available to log in to the Backerkit and get your tracking number. Only when the package arrived in your country, have you access to check the status of the package.
For those who have filled out their surveys and are still awaiting the tracking number, we expect to finish the shipping by the end of May. Since the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, it needs more time for us to process the shipping and wait for government clearance. We know there are some disappointed backers out there who were hoping to have their new sling bag for a test or for holiday trips, and we certainly wish we could ship your rewards out ASAP. Radiant Sling bag fulfillment continues!
All shipments are with our logistics company and ready for shipping. Last week, we released a test run batch of shipments. If you are one of those backers, you can check your tracking number on Backerkit. If not, don’t fret, we'll be releasing more reward shipments over the coming weeks, and are still on track to have shipped out all Radiant Slings by the end of May. Please rest assured that you will get your bag in your hands, and your patience is absolutely appreciated by NIID.
Meanwhile, we expect to continue to update news on shipments and the tracking numbers to fulfill Kickstarter rewards every week in May. Some backers frequently asked about changing the shipping address and the bag’s colour. To answer this question: all rewards have been packed and address information is ready for shipping, so we can't change it. Thank you for your understanding and patience. How' s it going? Since our last update on delayed shipping, we did our utmost to explore other shipping options to enable you to receive your Radiants as earliest. We made it. Now, we are relieved to announce that the second batch of shipment is going to be shipped out this week, and now just waiting to hand them over to our logistics partner. As a note, due to the shortage of flight transportation capacity, we will send out 2600 pcs these two weeks by sea so it may take a little bit longer to get it in your hands. We would update the tracking number on Backerkit when your Radiants are sent out smoothly.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the shipping paused for 1 month delayed, we do apologize for letting you wait, your support is everything that helps us grow, thanks for your understanding and patience. Any questions please feel free to PM us.
